Connecting an AI assistant to that data lets you ask in plain English instead of building a report. The work is in doing it safely: deciding what the AI may see, what it may never change, and who has to approve anything that does change.
We start read-only. Writes come later, only when you ask, and each one waits for a person to approve it. The assistant reads what it needs from your systems when you ask a question. What it reads is processed by the AI provider you choose, for example Anthropic or OpenAI, under that provider's business terms, which we point you to. We do not train AI models on your data, and nothing is accessed until the data owner has given written permission.
We are honest about limits. An AI answer is not guaranteed to be right, so we test it against your real numbers before anyone relies on it and set it up to show where a figure came from. Anything with a documented API. Common examples include MYOB, Xero, ServiceM8, Lightspeed and HubSpot, which all publish APIs. We confirm what can be connected, in writing, in the free check. If an official connector already does the job, we will tell you rather than sell you a build. Xero, for example, announced its own Claude integration for Xero subscribers on 12 May 2026. We connect the other systems, build one assistant across several of them, and add the guardrails.
Your AI subscription (Claude or ChatGPT), model usage and any hosting are on your own accounts, so they are not hidden in our price. The Ask Your Data Assistant includes a monthly figure for what the AI usage costs, and Monthly Care includes a note on it.
